Meet Ellen, David and Pam the trio behind Hokstead Plantation – a 30-year-old Eucalyptus Plantation just outside Warwick Qld.
What once was a barren crop paddock is now a lush haven of Australian eucalyptus, correa, grevillea and more! They began as a foliage suppler for wholesale markets and now also have an on-site flower and native plant shop open to the public.
In addition to supplying fresh and dried foliage, Hokstead also harvests flowering eucalypts for preservation. The plantation is a bird-watcher’s paradise with 25 species calling it home, from King Parrots to Black Cockatoos. The birds also help keep pests under control, making for a harmonious eco-system.
Drought struck the plantation hard, but with the timely onset of rain they’re back on track with a new reticulation system and plans to double their capacity.
In 2021, 2022 and 2023 Ellen was named among the Top 5 in the prestigious Brides Choice Awards for Southern Queensland. In 2025 she was awarded top place! The recognitions showcase Hokstead Plantation’s commitment to providing exceptional service and the highest quality products to their customers.
